{ Bauer Holiday Affair }


Join the Bauer Building tenants for a day of art, shopping, libations and holiday cheer! The artists, makers and shops of the Bauer will open their doors on Sunday December 16th to share their studio experience with the public. From jewelry to perfume; paintings to textiles, leather goods to ceramics, you'll find unique gifts for everyone on your list. Santa will be leading a sing-along, so invite your friends & family, and bring the kids along!

The Bauer is a historic warehouse building in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District featuring artist studios, galleries, start-ups, retail shops and an event space.

The Brady Tarot is hitting the road and coming to Kansas City! Please join us at Oracle for an evening of getting to know this newly self-published deck and its creator Emi Brady. This event will include a brief talk from the artist and a fully-stocked pop-up shop with all kinds of goodies. This deck will prove to be an instant classic, so don't miss your chance to get it early.

These Brady Tarot b'East Coast Tour dates will be the ONLY PLACE you can get your hands on this long-anticipated deck until October. There are a limited number of 18 decks per stop! All others may preorder at the event and get their decks in October. :: May 5 :: First Friday Art Walk! We will be staying open late (well, late for us - 8:00pm)! We are having a HUGE sale all throughout May on all of our taxidermy, up to 50% off! This is a great time to check out new items in the shop and also - we are super excited for Fraction Studio's next art opening, Flora and Fauna - featuring an installation and works by artists Alessandra Dzuba, Avery Fowles  and Ash Miyagawa! It's gonna rule, y'all.  

:: May 7 :: Natural Voice - Throat Chakra Workshop with Laura Frank, 4:30pm-7:00pm. This is such a fantastic opportunity, Laura Frank offered this workshop at Spirit Weavers last summer in 2016 and we are so honored to be able to offer this here in Kansas City! This workshop will include:
- An altar building ritual and teachings on how to work with a 7 directions altar. 
- A discussion about medicine songs and chants.
- A discussion about the throat chakra.
- Breath work and yoga to activate the Vishuddah (throat chakra) and expand lung capacity.
- Group learning and singing of medicine songs. 
- Creation of an original vocal score for a therapeutic and heart opening experience.

:: April 7th :: First Friday Art Walk - Pop Up Shop with Sweet Destructor!! Also, Alessandra will be offering Three Card Tarot Readings for $10 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and we'll be staying open late, until 9:00pm!!

:: April 21st :: Tarot & Tea 4:00pm-7:00pm - Join us on Friday for some tea and discounted 3 card pulls (only $10!). Get some self-love and perspective on how to reach your potential! Three card pulls are great for answering questions or needing some clarity on pressing matters… or heck, even just for fun and some hot tea!

:: April 28th :: Still Life Lantern Workshop -- Friday from 6:00pm-8:00pm: Learn the tricks of the trade and create your own Still Life Assemblage Lantern - ours retail at $120 so this is quite a steal! We supply everything you will need to construct a one of a kind decorative piece that you take home after class. We provide instruction for the handling and posing of preserved butterfly specimens - additionally, we will discuss the meaning of the stones and crystals you choose, as well as the symbolism of color and the basics of composition. 

The class fee includes all of the tools, insect specimens and decorative components needed for your beautiful Still Life Lantern.  We have room for 8 students and classes fill up fast - sign up early, here!!
